What makes us special?
We are a nonprofit association created in June 2018, gathering 29 Mediterranean Ports authorities and 4 Mediterranean Port Training Centers from all shores of the Mediterranean representing 70% of cargo and 90% of passenger traffic handled in the Mediterranean Sea. .
What has already been done?
- Realization of a new Training Program in partnership with our Training Institutes
- Implementation of the operational projects of the committees
- Presentation of the MEDports Association to the International and European authorities
- Participation and intervention in international events to present MEDports’ views
- Organisation of the 2023 MEDports Forum in collaboration with ASCAME
- Implementation of the website
Medports activity
Criteria to join the MEDports Association
- To be a Port Authority (or assimilated) of the Mediterranean Region, or Port entities or bodies representing several ports and with a specific interest in the MED region
- To share the objectives of the MEDports association as described in the status,
- To commit a real and regular involvement in the works of the technical committees, executive committee and general assembly.
- To collaborate with the MED Ports to promote the increase of the commercial and maritime lines within the Mediterranean, to increase the performance and the visibility of the Mediterranean ports, and to get closer to the key international institutions.
- To be Organizations and commercial corporations which are not representing Med ports
- To share the objectives of the MEDports association as described in the status,

Please, send a signed letter scanned requesting to join MEDPorts to the President of the Association, Mr. Pino Musolino (pino.musolino@portidiroma.it) copying the Secretary General (jordi.torrent@portdebarcelona.cat).
The request should include the following:
o Name of the Port Authority
o Name and contact details of the President
o Name and contact details of the designated contact person for MEDPorts
Once we receive it we will process the application, first at MEDPorts executive committee and then at the General Assembly.
